Benam.IO ("we", "us") builds and runs projects for the web. This website, benam.io, is the home of Benam.IO. The projects themselves run on subdomains of benam.io and on other domains. This policy covers this website, and the advertising that may appear on Benam.IO projects. This site itself has no accounts, forms, cookies, ads or analytics, and we do not sell your personal information.

Benam.IO projects

Each Benam.IO project that collects personal information has its own privacy policy, published on that project's site. That policy, not this one, describes what the project collects and how it is used. If a project doesn't publish a privacy policy and you have a question about it, contact us.

Advertising on Benam.IO projects

Projects on subdomains of benam.io may show ads served by Google. This website, benam.io itself, does not show ads. Where a project shows ads:

  • Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your previous visits to that site and to other websites.

What this website collects

  • Server logs: like most websites, the servers that deliver this site receive standard request information when you visit: your IP address, browser user agent, the page requested, the referring page and the time. This is used to deliver the site, keep it secure and diagnose problems, and is kept only as long as needed for those purposes.
  • Light and dark theme: the site follows your device's light or dark setting. Nothing is stored and nothing is sent to us.

Who we share it with

  • Google Fonts: this site loads its typeface from Google Fonts, so your browser connects to Google's servers, which receive your IP address and browser details. Google handles this under the Google Privacy Policy.
  • Infrastructure providers: hosting providers that deliver the site on our behalf.
  • Legal requirements: when we are required to by law, or to protect this site and its visitors from harm.

This site links to other websites, such as our GitHub organization. Those sites are run by their own operators and have their own privacy policies.
